Experts in different fields will present the trends on advanced textile materials’ developments in the CONTEXT final applications: healthcare/medical, automotive and aeronautics, personal protection, building and living, sports and wearables.
Now in its 27th year, this established conference series has become one of the most important meeting places for the global textiles coating and laminating industry.
The core of the conference programme will be presentations by invited experts, but in order to give an opportunity for anyone with exciting and relevant ideas to present to a high-level international audience, a call for papers is being issued for contributions in the following areas, with emphasis on work that will impact the industry, now and in the future:
Since 2001, AUTEX organises an annual international/global conference in which the latest developments in the textile area are highlighted. Each year hundreds of participants take part showing the importance and impact of these conferences.
AUTEX2019 will be the highlight of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Association of Universities for Textiles and also celebrates 90 years of Textiles at Ghent University.
This annual symposium started in 1972 as a Japan domestic meeting for the purpose of promoting textile research and communication between scientists and/or technologists. Today it has become an international conference on textile research covering a wide range of fields from fibre science to apparel engineering.
Participants are distinguished textile researchers; usually between 60 and 100 people from all over the world, and about 30 to 40 papers (oral and poster) are presented. Excellent poster presentations are awarded at this symposium especially for young students.
ICNF2019 will focus on “Smart Sustainable Solutions”, aiming to explore the potential of natural fibres as key materials to design smart and sustainable solutions for the future generations. To fulfil this important goal, along with the scientific sessions, the Natural Fibrenamics Award contest will be organised to promote and show new innovative natural fibre based products from all over the world.
